Running errands earlier this weekend, Mortgaged and I passed a newer Corner Bakery, one of the ones with the name on the building itself and a protruding sign that is almost entirely logo.

Mortgaged and I were discussing movies today and how, in general, we don't do well with sad scenes anymore, even if the movie is excellent. Neither of us could really make it through Up in the Air for example. It seems like a great movie but the very realistic lay off scenes and the views of stacks of boxes in empty offices hit a little too close ( Read more... )

Hmmm...I need to create a biking icon that fits with my journal's theme here.

The ability to say "no honey, you pick your favorite" knowing that there is a 90% chance their first choice is either your first or second choice and an 8% chance that, barring that, you're not going to hate their first choice.

I love the way our voices sound together, Mortgaged's and mine, singing happily, occasionally - okay, often - really hamming it up. We sing to all kinds of music, while cooking together or riding in the car, especially on long trips like this afternoon's rain drenched trek up the coast for another weekend in Cambria ( Read more... )

We dance well together, Mortgaged and I. We weave our way around one another in the small area around our stove as we prepare meals, or as one of us cooks and the other does dishes. We deftly leap frog our schedules to make sure that we both get enough chances to exercise and to relax, and that the more stressed out person, especially, gets enough ( Read more... )
